Product information "Sliding locomotive Union Pacific for children, G scale, with LGB couplings"

Slide lok without drive for toddlers from 3 years. Union Pacific Gauge G, with LGB compatible coupling for self-installation (see installation instructions below).

This Western-Lok is intended for children, since it is only sliding, so has no engine or serves as a stand model.

With sound module. Sound release at the push of a button on top of the roof (see photo 5). The built-in double lamps also flash in front. On sidings she looks very good. Matching Union Pacific wagon G (Boxcar and Caboose) is available from Piko.

Although we once built a locomotive with two engines, this is very expensive. In the last photo on the right you see the converted locomotive with LGB couplings and central buffer, as well as the locomotive shown here without engine, arranged in pairs. The locomotive with drive is not part of the offer.

Suitable for track systems by LGB and plastic tracks.

further technical data:

 - for inside and outside.

 - Track G rails with track spacing 45 mm.

 - Batteries for sound already installed.

 - For small and big children.

 - Scale 1:32

- Overall length with couplings 550mm. The loco pass also to the normal scale or 1: 22.5, because the locomotive is very powerful.

- Manufacturer NewRay and a clutch set from Zenner

Installation instructions of the coupling

There are basically two ways of mounting the coupling.

In case I, the holder is fastened over the coupling and in the other case II under the coupling, where the reworker needs some reworking. Accordingly, the holes for mounting the coupling in different places.

The LGB compatible clutch set is mounted on the bogies. This is a hole to drill.

Case I

a) It is necessary to work on the loco housing at both ends, so that the coupling comes to the correct height.

Cut out the area as shown in the photo on both front sides below the replica yellow claw coupling so that a section of 6.5 x 51 mm is created. It serves as a movement space of the coupling for track radii of 600 mm. This requires many vertical saw cuts of approx. 6 mm. The bridges are broken. Smoothing with a file (see photos 3 and 4)

b) Assembly of the coupling: The swivel box must be opened first.

Adhere coupling angle with coupling. Better still is to screw the part also. Please stick, drill and screw in such a way that the opposite car with LGB clutch engages.

Please put inside a washer underneath, as the wall thickness of the chassis box is not particularly thick. You can change the position a bit by bending the sheet.

Case II

Everything under the stairs down to the platform must be sawn off or sanded down. The edges above the coupling arc under which the coupling bow moves should be broken.

The holder is slightly bevelled in the area of the coupling bow, see photos on the right. The spring is fastened between holder and coupling bow.

The installation takes place, as in the photos. A bit of skill is needed to fix the holder. Some space needs to be created for the nut inside the bogie by slightly removing the stiffening strut.

We can not provide this performance of the installation, otherwise the locomotive would be too expensive.

Please print out this installation manual if necessary, as there is no enclosed locomotive.
