Interface: Connection via X-Bus or XpressNet to DCC central unit
XpressNet is a network developed by Lenz Elektronik for connecting various input devices to the DCC digital model railroad station. Input devices are suitable handheld controllers or a computer interface.
The network has 4-core cables; 2 of them are for the power supply of the connected devices, the 2 other wires are for data transmission. The XpressNet is an RS-485 interface that transmits the data at 62.5kBaud.

The locomotives can be driven optionally with 14, 28 and 128 driving steps; On the one hand, this can basically be defined, but changed as required for each locomotive.
You can use two different types of programming to use your locomotive decoders

15A are kept but device can get warm. Therefore, one should use the full load only in the short term. The continuous use up to 10 amps is not a problem. For the Massoth Dimax control panel, we recommend setting this to 7 amps.
In garden railways, it is possible to connect three controllers with 3 track sections in analog mode to terminals 3.
In digital mode you can connect 2 Dimax control panels, each set to 7 amps. Since you can connect 3 navigators to each Dimax central unit, you can connect a total of 6 navigators and thus let 6 locomotives travel separately.
Application for the garden railway in analogue mode:
To a power supply can be e.g. connect three PIKO Speed Controllers 35002 (max 22V 5A DC) or 35006 (max 22V 1.6A). To do this, the regulator on the switching power supply must be turned down to 22 volts by means of a screwdriver.
With shorts you should be very careful, since up to 15A can flow. Here, the short-circuit protection will jump in.
Additional fast fuses, as they are known from the automotive industry, and which we offer with fuse boxes, can be used here
The switching power supply must not be used outdoors. Only long connecting cables from the room to the speed controllers should be used.
Instead of PIKO speed controllers, PWM speed controllers can also be purchased from the electronics trade. Be sure to use at least one with a frequency of 15 KHz.
