Product information "MD-Electronics Digital Center Kit with 30B Digital-Booste G Scale"

With this kit, you get a DCC digital center with little work

It consists of:

a) an MD-Electronics Booster 30B

b) a Roco Multimaus

c) a 6 pin cable

d) A power supply 15 A and 24 Volt without protective housing

They only have to install the power supply in a protective box and connect a power cable and connect the devices with each other

The Bosster receives by the Roco Multimaus only the DCC-functionality.

Here again the description of the components:

The 30B Booster is a very powerful and flexible booster for all digital protocols.

The booster can be supplied with signals from the control panel via XpressNet, S88 and CDE.

It is even possible to record signals directly from the track of the control center via C & D.

There is also the possibility of making the booster a full-fledged control center with XpressNet and a Roco Multimaus.

Roco MULTIMAUS control unit for DCC control panel, also for track G.

Inexpensive control unit with many options. Several multi-mice can be operated simultaneously on the system.
Brightness adjustable display.

So there is the possibility from the 30B digital booster of MD-Electronics to make a full-fledged DCC center together with XpressNet and with a Roco Multimaus.

Interface: Connection via X-Bus or XpressNet to DCC central unit

XpressNet is a network developed by Lenz Elektronik for connecting various input devices to the DCC digital model railroad station. Input devices are suitable handheld controllers or a computer interface.

The network has 4-core cables; 2 of them are for the power supply of the connected devices, the 2 other wires are for data transmission. The XpressNet is an RS-485 interface that transmits the data at 62.5kBaud.

Connection to the amplifier Roco 10761 with approx. 3 A or Roco 10764 with 3.2 A as well as to Lenz DCC control center

Locomotive control: Address range: 1-9999, DCC-14, DCC-28, DCC-128
Light, F1 to F20

Connection to PC: via Rocomotion Interface 10785

In the locomotive database with max. 64 locomotives can be given a name to the locomotives, under which the locomotive can be called from a list.

Up to 9,999 locomotives

These can be controlled by direct input; 64 of these can be stored in a database and named: z. B. 103RB (103 red-beige). Up to 21 functions (including headlight) can be activated per locomotive if the machine has been equipped accordingly.
The locomotives can be driven optionally with 14, 28 and 128 driving steps; On the one hand, this can basically be defined, but changed as required for each locomotive.

You can use two different types of programming to use your locomotive decoders
set according to your own ideas: The most important CV values one to five can be reached directly via the key combination "Menu" and 1-5, the possible 1024 CVs can be reached via the programming menu. Of course, depending on the decoder design, all values up to 255 can be programmed.
Reading the CV 1-1024 in connection with readable amplifier (z21® / Z21®) possible.

Turnout mode:
The MULTIMAUS® can switch up to 1024 accessories! These elements must have an electric drive and be connected to a magnetic article decoder. The programming of the magnetic article decoder is then carried out electronically via the tracks.
Address range: 1-1024 (compared to Intellibox, the numbering is shifted by 4. Switches that have the address "1" under the Intellibox can be addressed by the multimouse at the address "5", see also
In conjunction with 10764, the MULTIMAUS® plugged into the master input becomes the control center.

Switching power supply for digital centers for the 30B Booster digital control unit from MD-Electronics

Switching power supply for various applications such as garden railways, analogue driving or DCC systems and 3D printers,

The PSU on the Booster 30B from MD-Electronics was tested successfully.

We explicitly do not recommend the use of the article for the layman or for children, since the housing would have to be additionally installed in a protective housing. Who uses the power supply, must ensure that children's hands do not come to the contacts. For representations please pull out the mains plug. Outdoor use is prohibited. We do not warrant the use of this product in conjunction with a Massoth Dimax DCC Control Center, although we know it will work properly with it. If you do not have the money for a Massoth switched-mode power supply, you can start with this inexpensive power supply and try it at your own risk.

Disconnect power supply brand XKTTSUEERCRR China.

Since the Schaltnertzteil has no cable connections with plug, it is not a finished functional unit and not a finished machine in the sense of the Declaration of Conformity. It is therefore offered as a kit. To make the power supply functional, you will need a 230 volt connection cable with mains plug that you must connect to the corresponding terminals. Such pre-assembled power plugs with Schukostecker are available for 6 and 16 amp in the trade.

    ASIN: B01IMQ1Q4C

    Material of the housing: Aluminum
    Input voltage: 230V / 110V AC
Output voltage: 3 times 24V DC
    Output current: max. 15A
    Working temperature: 0 ~ 40 ℃
Protection: short circuit protection, overheating protection, overvoltage protection

Suitable for most devices with DC 24V. Only for inside!

The device should be installed in a protective housing.

Protective cover folds over the cable clamp strip

    High voltage stability

    24V DC, adjustable from 19.5V to 27V

    High performance, safe and durable.

Caution: The voltage of this device can be switched (110V / 230V) via a slide switch on the side of the device. Before use, please check that the voltage is set correctly.

The switching power supply has a 60mm fan. This will automatically switch on and off depending on the power supply temperature.

PWM control via TL494 circuit. DCC decoders and RC controllers use PWM control for the motor current.

15A are kept but device can get warm. Therefore, one should use the full load only in the short term. The continuous use up to 10 amps is not a problem. For the Massoth Dimax control panel, we recommend setting this to 7 amps.

In garden railways, it is possible to connect three controllers with 3 track sections in analog mode to terminals 3.
In digital mode you can connect 2 Dimax control panels, each set to 7 amps. Since you can connect 3 navigators to each Dimax central unit, you can connect a total of 6 navigators and thus let 6 locomotives travel separately.

Application for the garden railway in analogue mode:

To a power supply can be e.g. connect three PIKO Speed Controllers 35002 (max 22V 5A DC) or 35006 (max 22V 1.6A). To do this, the regulator on the switching power supply must be turned down to 22 volts by means of a screwdriver.

With shorts you should be very careful, since up to 15A can flow. Here, the short-circuit protection will jump in.
Additional fast fuses, as they are known from the automotive industry, and which we offer with fuse boxes, can be used here

The switching power supply must not be used outdoors. Only long connecting cables from the room to the speed controllers should be used.

Instead of PIKO speed controllers, PWM speed controllers can also be purchased from the electronics trade. Be sure to use at least one with a frequency of 15 KHz.

Application for the garden railway in digital mode

The device can be connected to the MD-Electronics Booster 30B digital control unit.

At 24 volts and 13A output current, it meets the exact conditions set by MD-Electronics
